Joan Kelly - Artistic Director, Owner, Instructor, Choreographer:

Joan Kelly founded Dancesteps Etc. in July of 1989. Originally employed as an engineer while teaching dance on the side, she decided to follow her dream and open her own dance studio In Epson, NH. With extensive dance, performance, and instructional experience in the fine arts of ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip/hop, lyrical and musical theatre, Joan continues to educate herself by attending workshops and classes whenever possible at such schools as Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center. She is active in local theatre, choreographing and even performing in the shows whenever possible. Joan has studied under such greats as Savion Glover, Edward Villella, and Steven Boyd; a certified Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Dance Masters of America (D.M.A.) instructor. Many of Joan’s student’s achievements have been realized in the form of awards, certificates, various medals, scholarships, and college degrees in dance.

Jamie Tisbert - Instructor:

Jamie is starting her 8th year as an instructor at Dancesteps etc, blesses with natural ability and talent, she started her dance career with Miss Joan at the age of 3, and has become a successful choreographer of 10 years, wimming numerous awards at the regional and national level.  She will also be starting her 4th year as Pembroke academy's Dance Team advisor Jamie's students find her energy to be endless and feel her " no nonsense" approach during class brings out the best in them.  Jamie's love and passion for the students and for dance couldn't be any stronger.  As Jamie say's " it's what I was born to do "

Amanda Cavanaugh - Instructor:

Amanda is beginning her 2nd year as an instructor at Dancesteps Etc. Amanda danced with Dancesteps Etc. for 6 years and graduated to become a successful, energetic,fun and friendly hip-hop choreographer. When she is not dancing she also words as a traveling CRM Consultant at Newmarket International and a waitress at a small local diner on weekends.  Amanda's students find her friendliness and upbeat choreography to be fun and inviting and feel her strict but easygoing approach during class allows for fun and growth as  a dancer.
